Web Applications Engineer
Working in a Java/Struts technical environment, responsible for front-end Web development for the LPCH sites ‘lpch.org’, ‘intranet.lpch.org’, and ‘mdportal.lpch.org’, making use of the latest in jQuery technology.
Designed, developed, and released the OB Pre registration form for the lpch.org site, providing for a 10x improvement in rate of hospital pre-registration submissions. Authored a significant jQuery customization, resulting in optimal user experience for this form.
Investigated options for mobile offerings of the current LPCH site content. Also explored areas of HTML 5 and CSS 3 that would be prime candidates for incorporating into the various lpch-related sites.

Responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of ovi.com, a PHP-based site that uses the latest in Web Services (REST) as well as AJAX to produce a pleasant user experience for the amalgamation of multiple social network applications.
Front-end/UI development on a variety of Symbian-based mobile devices. Much of this work greatly improved the user experience on these devices by moving from a web paradigm to one that is more “mobile-centric”.

As the team's primary Adobe Graphics Server (AGS) developer, wrote utilities to create print- and web-ready images for Photoshop Album and Acrobat 6. This effort was paramount in establishing the Adobe Graphics Server as a viable tool for the development of production-quality graphics. [Teamsite/XML/HTML]
Developed an in-house PERL training program and delivered classes for employees, increasing productivity and streamlining processes for Release Engineering, QA, and Localization.
Designed and implemented a set of applications to translate functional content for Adobe Illustrator 11. These localization utilities have resulted in the saving of thousands of man hours of manual translation effort. [VisualBasic/Web technologies]
Served as Web Master for the Engineering Services Group. Created many Perl-based CGI tools and services associated with this site, among them the Drop Box utility, through which Adobe employees could present PDF content on the intranet.
Co-wrote the Translators Web Site, a utility enabling third-party translation vendors, world-wide, to generate their product translations. [Oracle/ColdFusion/Web technologies]
Created the Tools Engineering Department Web site, making this group one of the first to be effectively represented on the Adobe intranet. Invented 'WebAuthor', a technology through which non-technical department members could directly author site content.
Developed embedded software for PostScript and PostScript Level 2 printers (Epson 7500, NEC Silentwriter).
